With two students in college there in Lexington and me 175 miles away, it was sure comforting to find a trustworthy repair shop to take care of their vehicles. Tony’s worked my 2012 GMC into their schedule on the day that I called and were able to have it back to my daughter the next day. The problems were fixed and the price was fair. Not much else you can ask for - I truly appreciate their service.

The most unprofessional repair shop I’ve ever dealt with. I call a week in advance to get an estimate on repairs I was told from the dealership and to make sure that they have the appropriate parts needed for the repair. I dropped my car off before they open the morning of the appointment I had scheduled. I hear nothing from them all day and finally call them around 1:30 PM to ask for an update. They said they had not even looked at my car yet and I asked if they were going to get the repair done that I had previously asked them to do and they said yeah hopefully. I called them a couple hours later because I still had not heard from them. They put me on multiple holds for over 20 minutes at various points and ultimately said they were finishing up the estimate. I’m confused because I didn’t know that they were doing their own inspection I thought they were doing the repair and it was going to get done same day. They give me an estimate for almost as much as the dealership and say that different things are wrong than what the dealership said. at that point, I was fed up because I didn’t know that they were doing their own inspection and I would trust the dealership over them to do the repair if that they were going to charge me almost as much so I tell them I’m coming to pick up my car. I arrive at the place and I asked to get my car and they tell me that the keys are in the car and I walk outside in my car is sitting there with the windows rolled down and the key in the ignition so it easily could’ve been stolen. I would never bring my car here again for the horrible lack of communication and total unprofessionalism.

My daughter goes to school at UK, we are from Illinois. She says my brakes are making noise. I called Tonys cause their reviews are great, and I will tell you their service is great, talked to Angel and he made it so easy, car was back to her in less than a full work day. Appreciate you guys having a business that is ran great and trust worthy. Highly recommended for all. Thanks again.

I chose this shop because of their reputation for honesty and quality, but my experience didn’t match that. I went in for a thermostat replacement and was charged $475, including $280 in labor based on “book time”. However, after picking up my vehicle, I noticed the coolant reservoir was empty and had to refill it myself before driving. Since the level has remained stable, it raises concern that the cooling system may not have been properly filled or checked before returning the vehicle. That’s something I feel should be part of a completed repair, especially when dealing with engine cooling components. I’m sharing this so others double-check their vehicle before leaving after service

As another said, we are in Illinois and our daughter @ UK just needed a brake light changed. The team at Tony’s were so great with her! If we ever need more work, Tony’s will definitely get our business!
