This was my second breakfast from DV8. The first time we ordered through DoorDash while I was in Lexington visiting after my grandson was born. This was my first opportunity to sit down in the restaurant and really experience everything they have to offer. It is a great place to eat. When we arrived, there were three fire engines in the parking lot and firefighters inside having breakfast. That’s usually a pretty good sign you’ve found a great local restaurant. The menu isn’t fancy, just good, honest breakfast food. I had eggs over easy, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, and hot black coffee. I also appreciated that they let you choose between a medium roast and a dark roast coffee, which is a nice touch. The staff, from the cashier to everyone else we interacted with, treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine gratitude. Even their Wi Fi password reflects their mission: hope and faith. If you’re in the Lexington area, I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast.

The food was awesome (we had marmalade chicken, the grilled cheese, and a Cobb sandwich, and we loved them all). The food was as cheap as fast food, tasted way better, felt healthier, and made us appreciate the mission, too. Wendell Berry describes the extrinsic pleasure of knowing that your act of eating is doing good in the world alongside the intrinsic pleasure of the food’s taste, and DV8 captured both!

Amazing food with good ambiance. Took the family put, we all had different meals and they were all delicious. The tater tots are tetris shaped!!!

Nice place. The burgers were pretty good & the bread pudding had just the right amount of coffee flavor where it wasn’t overpowering. I wish it had a bit more cinnamon flavor though. I’d definitely come back to try more things
