Charlie Brown's Restaurant

I absolutely loved the atmosphere! The mishmash of couches and comfy chairs for seating was just perfect, and I loved all the old books. The service left a lot to be desired, though, which was a bummer considering how cool the place was. I had a chicken cordon bleu sandwich, which was fine. My friend's sandwich (the Elizabeth, or something like that - it was also a chicken sandwich) was AMAZING, though.

Time to let it go my dudes. Ordered a well done burger. They served it nearly raw. I’d say do better, but it doesn’t matter since I’m done with them for good. Used to love this place. It’s dark in there, folks, so check your food by flashlight before consuming.

My friend and I ate here for lunch today. The restaurant itself is nestled between other businesses. If you are driving by you might miss it at first. We parked in the parking garage close to it. Be warned! You have to pay. The restaurant does not validate parking. Once you walk in it is pretty dark. Watch your step! You seat yourself. They have tables and chairs but also couches to sit on. It is a comfortable and relaxing environment. I’m sure it gets pretty busy on the weekends. We ordered the hot pepper cheese for our appetizer. It was delicious. For my meal I got a special menu item. I got the beer cheese chicken sandwich. It was very good! I also got fries. They gave me very large portions. Overall we had a great experience. Our service was good and the food was great! I would like to go back on a weekend evenings for drinks.

I LOVE CHARLIE BROWNS!! I’ve been eating here a little over a decade now & it is still my favorite restaurant in lex. I love introducing new people to it. Inside and the patio have a fantastic atmosphere. I’ve never found anything like it anywhere else. The service can be so-so, but it’s fine. Wouldn’t visit if in a rush, but a PERFECT way to spend an hour or two in beautiful weather on the patio. The food is fantastic for a great price. The drinks are excellent. You can never go wrong visiting Charlie Browns

This is such a cool place. Great for kids and families, at least on a Wednesday during lunch. Explore the book shelves and find hidden treasures. Anything from money to notes. Absolutely loved it. Food was great and atmosphere is very unique and very casual, laid back environment.
