Carson's Food & Drink - On Main

We had a really good time at Carson’s the other night!! Our server was Dane and he was very friendly and fast with everything. The food was VERY good and the portion sizes are incredibly generous. The ribs, while they look like they’ll be super messy, they’re so incredibly tender the bones come off completely clean. I was able to commit a cardinal rib sin and eat them with a fork to maintain my dignity!! The steak was cooked to an absolutely PERFECT rare. And the sides were phenomenal. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was very nice. The only very minor complaint I had was the MASSIVE menu and the tiny table, but that’s honestly just a me thing. Once the menu was gone it felt a lot better lol

I love, love, love Carson’s restaurant. It has the most amazing goat cheese dip and bread. I usually don’t care for goat cheese but the way it is prepared here is so good. Every time my family comes down to visit me we go to Carson’s. The first time I went was sort of by accident, my family came down to Lexington for my tour of the campus, and we needed somewhere to go for dinner and Carson’s popped up. When we got there we had no reservation and it was so busy, we figured it must be good, and it was. They can make tasty drinks and delicious food. The service is always timely and attentive. I thank all of the employees who are of service when I eat at Carson’s, they are very polite and proper.

This was probably one of the best restaurants we have been doing a long time. We were actually visiting a Distillery across the street and they recommended that we checked them out and it was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend got a soft shell crab BLT with pork belly mac and cheese and I got a bearnaise burger with seasoned fries and they were both phenomenal. For an appetizer we got the spicy shrimp that was served with some of the best bread and for dessert was a banana bread pudding which was probably the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back next time we are on vacation. They were super busy so we sat at the bar and we were taken care of even better than if we would have been at a table. I didn't catch her name because we were kinda tipsy but the blonde bartender was adorable and super friendly.

We were staying overnight in Lexington on a Monday. We got reservations and the place was packed! Our table wasn't ready, so we headed to the bar for a drink. The atmosphere is really nice, but nothing overally too fancy. We were seated and Dalton was our server. Easy to talk to and he walked us through the menu. We started off with the Salmon Bruschetta appetizer, which was really good! For our entrees we ordered the Creole Filet Mignon and the Chicken & Shrimp Creole. Both were prepared very well and the taste was fantastic! We went all out and ordered the carrot cake as well--really good!! Dalton did a great job!! This was the best meal of our vacation!! (We were in Louisville/Lexington/Covington).

First time in Lexington for work and a coworker's friend recommended this place for dinner and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. We ate at the bar as we didn't have reservations. I recommend reservations! The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. I had the two filets, substituted the asparagus for the teriyaki green beans and it all tasted so GOOD! The Blueberry Lemon Drop was divine. If you're ever in Lexington KY I highly recommend this place!
