This place means the world to me. After countless cups of coffee and tea, God knows how many breakfast sandwiches, and doing nearly all my gift shopping here for the last several years... I can't believe I never left a review.
Just truly lovely people, the best customer service around, and a truly Mom and Pop feel in every sense of the word. The food and drinks are great but they also support/sell work from lots of local artists which really rounds out the local vibe.
Love having them around, they're such a quintessential part of the community.

I had been wanting to stop in for a while but was struggling to find time as I work a 9-5, but I am SO glad I made time!
This is one of my favorite spots I’ve been able to spend some time at while in Lexington!
First, the sandwich and food selection is EXPANSIVE and my sandwich was absolutely DELICIOUS. I ordered a Cranberry-Orange sandwich, which had turkey, lettuce, and bacon, too. I have been thinking about this sandwich for almost two weeks now. It was amazing. I want to return to try other menu options. My friend and I both loved our coffee orders, as well.
Beyond this, the staff were genuinely so kind, helpful, welcoming, and fun. I felt so happy to be there and had a lovely time chatting with the employees. They were also very efficient.
Finally, if you love small businesses and handmade art/jewelry/products, you NEED to stop in and check out High On Art and Coffee. My friend and I wandered around looking at the handmade jewelry, soaps, crafts, wood carvings, and so much more! We each ended up buying things that we both wear all of the time!
As soon as time allows, I WILL be back. I cannot recommend this coffee shop enough!

The best coffee shop in Lexington! I used to go here all the time when I worked next door.. the owners are so lovely, kind and welcoming. They love animals and give treats to all the doggos that stop by. The food and coffee is delish too.. highly recommend supporting this amazing local business! 🙌

High on Art was in a very cute and in a pretty town, being that I'm from out of state it was really fun to explore. The inside was super pretty and bigger than what was really shown online. Due to the holidays the place was decorated which made it even better. There was seating for those who chose to. They also had an amazing gift shop filled with good gifts that can be given to many. I didn't get any of the items served but my friends did and they enjoyed everything they bought, but mainly the sandwiches. I overall just loved the vibe of High on Art. The people were extremely nice and just great. I would rate High on Art five stars, I truly loved it and think everyone should go.

My husband and I have been doing a coffee shop tour on our days off and hitting up local coffee shops that aren't chain. We saw this one and decided to check it out and oh man we were NOT disappointed at all whatsoever.
The second we walked up to the building the immediate vibe was great, when we walked in the friendly faces of the employees, and the smells of the food and drinks were satisfactory enough. The employees genuinely look like they enjoy their jobs and customers. They were super patient with us with it being our first time there and the customers that were behind us as well were also recommending us foods and drinks along with the employees. My husband got the crangerine turkey club and I got the Caesar sub with a few drinks and each sandwich was PERFECT and I MEAN PERFECT, the crispiness of the bread mixed with the savory toppings and ugh it was enough to make a grown man cry.
While waiting for our food we started checking out the rest of the establishment and we're pleasantly surprised with the amount of artists and craftsmen/women that the cafe supported. The entire place was beautifully overwhelming in the best way possible. I couldn't help myself but to buy a couple things as well.
HoA&C really felt like a home away from home. From the exquisite and delicious food to the wonderful and pleasant hospitality of the employees. My husband and I will definitely frequent this place whenever we're nearby again.
5/5 stars is truly not high enough of a rating. We look forward to returning.
