Tapster Lexington, KY – Self Pour Bar & Tasting Room

This is an interesting place for sure. You get a card and self serve your drinks. When you hear self-serve, you automatically think it’s gonna be beer, especially since the place is called Tapster. Well, it broke my stereotypes because they had wine, beer, cocktails, and mocktails. I ended up creating my own margarita swirl by mixing the margarita and sangria ($10.16). The price is about the same as most other places, but you get to get your drink whenever you’re ready and you can close out quickly by dropping your card in a dropbox or go back up to the register and close out. The ambience is really cool because they had swings at their tables – not all of them but a good portion.

If you haven’t, you absolutely have to Come see Mercedes and Let her help you figure this fun concept out! You get a card, you get a drink, you get a running total and you can drop it in the box and head on your way! Sit on the cool swings enjoy the breeze stare at triangle park what more could you want??!! This is a must do in downtown Lexington! You can even order a pizza from pies and pints Next Door and have it delivered to your table! Thank you Mercedes for humoring these southern folks!

We walked past this place after being downtown for the farmer’s market on a Saturday and were greeted by Rebecca upon walking through the door. We were initially intrigued by the tables with swings! She informed us of how everything worked, as we had never been here before. She also showed us that we could order Pies & Pints next door and have it delivered here, which we did! It was amazing (we got the GF caprese)! There are so many drink options here for everyone from beer to wine, hard liquor, beer (local & domestic). They also have mocktail options! I got the Shirley temple and it was so tasty! Rebecca was very kind and helpful, she definitely made our first visit the best experience we could have asked for!

This is my second time in and Mercedes has been wonderful each time. She provided samples and recommendations and was so sweet to my dog. The food being served from Pies and Pints was such an added bonus.

Mercedes was amazing, very informative, and helpful. Loved the vibe of the place and the food was on point. More people need to experience this place and the staff.
